Chief of the Finance Corps presents the Distinguished Member of the Finance Regiment

FORT MCPHERSON, Ga. (June 3, 2008) - On June 3, 2008 Colonel Billy R. Smith, Chief of the Finance Corps and Commandant of the Financial Management School, traveled from Fort Jackson, South Carolina to make a special award presentation to the United States Army Central (USARCENT) Resource Management (G8) Team. Six members of the G8 Team received the Distinguished Member of the Finance Regiment (DMR) Award.

The DMR is an award that honors regimental members whose legacy of landmark contributions and special acts bring significant credit to the Finance Corps. Distinguished Members of the Regiment display a lasting dedication to the core Finance values of Patriotism, Integrity, Competence and Service.

There have only been 312 recipients of this award since its establishment on May 5, 1990.

The USARCENT G8 recipients of the DMR were Mr. Edward Chandler, Ms. Mary Hansen, Ms. Audrey Moss, Mr. Joe Legato, Ms. June Maddox and LTC Marcia Smith. Each awardee received a distinctive medallion and a special Department of the Army certificate.
